Wow! I thought I would buy cheap plastic. This bracket was made of a strong metal. I was really impressed with the quality here. It's hard to believe that you can buy metal processed like this for so little money. If you have a good mounting surface for this, you will NOT be disappointed with the quality! Just great! I did criticize the pivot ball's "quick stand": the ball joint is very tight for my use, but admittedly I use these mounts for the much lighter iPhone 4s. So again I'm very pleased that this product works with a lighter phone comparable to the iPhone 4s. Can't comment on use in an iPad sized phone. (Apple, I think you're crazy about the size/weight of the phone.)
