Review on 🚘 TOYOTA Highlander Hybrid 1-Row Plastic Aluminum Replacement Radiator - TYC 2929 Compatible by Wei Fan

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Fit 2006 Highlander Hybrid

This radiator fits perfectly, doesn't leak, car doesn't overheat hence 5 stars. It appears to be identical to the original radiator - the fittings on both are plastic and the bypass tube is pointing in the right direction. Here are some tips for replacing the radiator on this car. The radiator, condenser/transmission cooler and fan are mounted on brackets at the top and bottom. You will need to unscrew the top and bottom fans and remove the entire fan assembly (after disconnecting the fans and removing the wiring harness). Then remove the top bracket from the radiator and condenser. I was a little confused at this point because I couldn't figure out how to unscrew the heatsink from the bottom bracket as it's hanging out from underneath with no access. To solve this problem, remove the bracket holding the hood latch and unscrew the condenser from the lower bracket. Then carefully pry the condenser open and pull up so it comes out of the bottom bracket - mine was kind of stuck there and it took a bit of effort to get it out. Be careful not to damage the capacitor. Once you've lifted it up far enough, you can pull the condenser forward toward the grill so it doesn't touch the bracket. You can then pull out the heatsink with the bottom bracket attached. The AC system does not need to be disassembled. The installation is reversed. Hope this is helpful.
