Very dim and takes a lot of effort to make them glow. We also have a set of LED wheels from another brand, they are bright and light up immediately. I let my kids go outside and ride horses after dark and I watched from the window. The other set was very bright and very easy to see from across the street. I thought they didn't glow at all, but as they got closer I noticed that they glow. Not sure if we received a defective set or something similar but we sent it back to get a different set just like the others we have.
