Great for low amp needs.

I am using this to power a 5 inch monitor for a wireless backup camera system. The monitor requires a 12 volt cigarette outlet and unfortunately my outlet is hot all the time so the monitor was always on. I connected the converter to a USB port on my car's head unit and then connected the dash cam monitor. I managed to hide all the cables behind the dashboard. Monitor power is now controlled by the ignition. Works perfectly.
