I would give 5 stars if the batteries didn't run out even when switched off. In fact, the instructions specifically state that the batteries cannot be removed when you are not using them. Why? I do not know. In my opinion, it discharges too quickly and constantly putting batteries in is cumbersome. I have used Duracel, Eneloop batteries etc. I don't seem to like it when you leave them inside. The mirror is powered. OK and EXTREMELY BRIGHT. It's amazing when you connect to USB, but you don't have to do it all the time. Once the batteries are low, the mirror will go into a mode and won't let you switch it until you plug it in or change the batteries. The batteries are empty within 40 minutes. Batteries, Duracel, Rayovac. Everything is the same with this one. If you don't remove the batteries.
