These strings are all synthetic, great for intermediate players but disappointing for beginners and intermediate players. Being synthetic they are very strong and hold up very well, but are very slippery which means they are difficult to repair and would require the user to know how to 'tie' a sleeping yo-yo. They were too complex for me personally, although I can see how the best user would like the very things I didn't like. If you're not very good yet, go for 6, 50/50 mixed strings (semi-cotton). They are more responsive and forgiving
