Review on Graco Sharpe 288880 FX3000 Paint Spray by Anthony Robichaud

I am very happy with the performance of this sprayer

I am very happy with the performance of this sprayer. I've sprayed professionally in a custom spray booth with pro gear and this gun certainly doesn't match the quality of that gear, but it doesn't cost thousands of dollars either. I am currently using it in my small garage with a 40 gallon air compressor and it far exceeds my expectations. I have used several other suction guns and HVLP spray guns with very unsatisfactory results. The main problem I've had in the past is not being able to get enough spray out of the gun. This is directly related to the thickness of the coating and the size of the orifice in the spray gun. Most spray guns have a 1-1.4mm tip, which in my experience is not enough to spray the water-based polyurethane I mostly use. The 1.8mm tip on this gun handles water-based polyurethane very well. I also found the air control capabilities of this cannon to be better than others I've used. The only reason I gave this gun four stars instead of five is because the gun had a dent in the metal cup. It's still usable and not a big problem for me. Overall I would recommend this gun to anyone looking to spray water based polyurethane.
