
These are cake pans, NOT cake pans. These pans have beveled sides. If you make this into a 2-tier cake as usual, with the bottom tier down and the top tier right side up, your cake will look like a flying saucer, bulging in the middle and getting smaller at the top and bottom . If you leave both layers open, the top of the bottom layer will stick out a lot more than the bottom of the top layer. You need to use LOTS of icing to make the sides of the cake look at least almost straight! The weight of the pan is pretty good and my cutters were fine, but they're just NOT CAKE PANS!
