Review on Enhanced ViewSonic WPD-100 USB Wireless Adapter (802.11 b/g/n) for PJD7383i, Pro8400, Pro8450w, and Pro8500 by Dustin Gabrielle

This Viewsonic WPE-100 wireless dongle was purchased for a Viewsonic PJD7583wi projector. The documentation for the device is useless as another reviewer pointed out. Nowhere is it explained how to use the key with the beamer. Don't waste time calling their tech support as they keep referring to useless instructions I already had. After spending a good hour on this, I decided to just plug the dongle into the projector and hardwire the projector to the network. You can then configure the settings using the projector's IP address in a browser. Then it was necessary to change the settings from access point to infrastructure. This prevents you from using wireless security settings other than WEP, or from disabling wireless security altogether. This may not matter to most, but it makes a world of difference to our office network. Once we finally connected to the wireless network and set the projector to use the device as a video source, the results were poor at best. Viewers included fixed websites and spreadsheets.
