In my opinion this device is far superior to any hardware DMX controller. With the appropriate application, this device provides more flexible setup of stage lighting. If you're using a traditional fader-based controller, you're limited by the number of controls available. With this device you are only limited by the possibilities of your application. Fader-based controllers cost thousands more. If you have a smartphone or tablet and a cheap WiFi router, this is the best solution. Once you have installed the app on your smart device, you do not need internet service on your router to control DMX with this device. Most applications will automatically recognize this device in your network.
