If you look at similar products they are cheap spot welded. So if you fall in the shower it breaks. This product is well designed and thought through. The blade is inserted into a slot in the handle and screwed with two mounting screws. The result is a product that, when dropped, is loaded on the edge rather than on the spot. Of course, this increases the production costs, but I'd rather spend 10-20% more for a product that doesn't break on the first drop. Oh, and it comes with a spare wiper when the first one wears out.
