Review on 📷 Omotor Tailgate Backup Camera: Dodge Ram 1500, 2500, 3500 2002-2009 Black Handle with Reverse Camera by Cheryl Bailey

At first I was afraid that the quality might be cheaper as it is a little lower than other brands. I'll update the review after I install it, but I took a closer look and the quality seems good. The plastic is strong and thick, the grip is thick and well supported, seems as solid as the OEM grip. The case has rubber bumpers to keep the handle from hitting plastic on plastic. This set also has more wires than other brands and the wire is on a sliding loom which is good but be aware you will need a larger hole or notch to thread the wire through. Update: Quality seems very close to factory. Make sure the tailgate latches are lubricated, this will make the job easier. There was plenty of cable, an 8ft crew cab, the cable ran through the frame and followed the parking brake cable into the cab. It was still about 20 inches when all was said and done. The image quality is good day and night, the bumper is visible. I used to have a license plate camera and it was almost parallel to the hitch, so it was difficult to line up the hitch and trailer because the perspective was too low. An elevated view of the hitch makes it much easier to align the hitch and trailer. I am very happy with this purchase Update: 3 days of installation and the video has stopped. I tested the performance as close to the rubber plug as possible. Removed the main unit and checked the trigger and video cables. An error on the main unit indicates that it has power but no video. The only thing left is the camera itself. Now the camera is not available, I wonder why? Now I have to tear it up and send it back to get a refund. Save yourself the headache and pay a few bucks more
