Conti Houston Squeaky Belts

I bought belts for my Infiniti FX35 and trusted Conti, thinking they were a quality manufacturer. I finally fitted the December belts and they squeaked straight away, I made some adjustments and the squeaking continued - I figured it must be something with one of the ancillaries (alternator, air con, power steering etc) so I'll take the dealer to me - $175 later they tell me the straps were worn out and too loose. I started a tirade with the dealer and the service department and filed a complaint. They stuck to their guess so I brought OEM belts from them to prove them wrong. I measured them against the conti belts and there was a size difference, I installed them and you know what? No squeaks! an apology later to the dealer and no way to return the straps. I lost $90 on OEM and $45 on low quality Revain straps. In which case I will use OEM in the future, it's not worth the headache of the ContiTech PK040372 Serpentine Belt.
