Review on Continental PremiumContact 6 225/55 R17 97 year old by Adam Nowak ᠌

Revainrating 3 out of 5

I should have looked better, spent money on an ordinary product.

Continental PremiumContact 6 245/50/18 tires with a non-runflat design were manufactured in the Czech Republic for a BMW X3 F25. Regular runflat Dunlop was responsible for the rigidity and the rutting. I've heard nothing but positive things about this thread. Purchased, and what has been the outcome? It has become softer, which is definitely a positive development, but where is the improved handling that was promised? Guys, what exactly are you referring about when you say control? Concerning the management of a cow while it is on ice? The sidewall is way too thin and mushy, and as a result, there is no longer any connection between it and the road. If you press on the sidewall with just one finger, the vehicle will start to move in a shaking motion. This is the first time I've come across it! Is this supposed to be the Continental? And where exactly is the lack of rutting that was promised? Less than that of a runflat, of sure, but at least with the rutting of a runflat, everything is apparent - this is the flip side of handling, while the rutting of a continental is the flip side of what, exactly? In a nutshell, we are prepared to return to the oak runflat. It makes me want to rip off my hair because I sold mine:( One item was comprehended by him. It is not recommended to play around with the tires on a BMW, especially since they are so expensive. It is impossible to achieve that famed BMW handling with anything other than standard (homologated) tires. The rest is a matter of negotiation and compromise.

Pros
  • Feels good on the hands and is reasonably quiet.
Cons
  • After the runflat, the taxiing and handling were both a horrible experience. When the speed is increased beyond zero, the steering wheel becomes incomprehensible, and the vehicle stutters and wanders. Driving is a revolting experience. In addition, the rutting is not significantly less severe than it was on the runflat. I increased the pressure from 1.8 to 2.5, but this had no positive effect. Even after I did the wheel alignment four times and changed the front silencers, the problem persisted.
