I've had this for a few months and it was perfect for a feral cat outside in 30 degree weather. They didn't like the material of the rug itself so I covered it with a towel and they liked it. They sleep on it with no problem and I also put it under a box for a month to warm it up from the inside and they loved it too. I keep it up as it doesn't get very hot and doesn't have a timer so I keep it on 24/7 as it's in use all day/night and still works great.
