One splitter for charging and one port for data transfer

I bought this splitter at first thinking it was a USB splitter for two FULL ports. I just didn't fully read the description. I found this to be a great product for my application of connecting a keyboard and mouse to my PS4 without using both USB ports. I use one slot as a dedicated charging station for my controller (both keyboard and mouse have independent USB ports). All in all, I can still charge my controller and activate the keyboard with this device.
