Review on Chums Slim Retainer - Adjustable Thin Silicone Unisex Eyewear Keeper by Michael Lightfoot

Better if the other types don't fit well

After my $$$ glasses kept falling off my face and getting scratched, I ordered one of those "adjustable eyewear retainers" to hold them on, the kind that have wires in the back with attached sliders that keep the wires aligned with each other. Problem was, even at the tightest adjustment, they were too large for my head; I knotted the wires, but then they were too tight.I like this Chums retainer because it is infinitely adjustable so I can get a good nice fit without it being too loose or too tight. The only thing I don't like is that the dangling silicone end sometimes feels like something is crawling on your neck, which creeps me out. It's a simple matter, though, of just tucking the end up into the part that's wrapped around your head. And it's soft, so if you fall asleep while watching TV, it doesn't poke you like the other kind does. So I like this one better.

  • There worked perfectly and kept our glasses on tight during a whitewater rafting trip.

  • The silicone material may irritate some people’s skin
