Very bulky in the front but quite comfortable around the neck. But you have to remember that the Type 1 PDF isn't made for comfort, it's made to save your life if, in the worst case, you fall overboard in rough seas and there's no help nearby. It has a 22-pound buoyancy (like most Type 1s), not 32 pounds. I called Kent and it's rated for a 52 inch bust, I'm very close to that and it's comfortable. The snap buckles on the ends of the straps are better than most life jackets. It's a steal to find a US Coast Guard approved (and it is) Type 1 PDF at this $42 price point. Should last for many years if stored properly. So carry your inflatable PDF with you on those fine days, but replace it with this one when things seem to be going wrong with a storm on the horizon. It is made in China. No pockets or D-rings, but strobe or PLB can be attached.
