Review on ๐Ÿ›ถ Hull-a-Port Thule Rooftop Kayak Carrier by Frank Webster

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Built to last with quality materials. Bought.

Made with high quality materials to be durable. First I bought an older version (lower clamp with 2 bolts and 2 rivets) which was adjusted from a local shop and came with a pulley ratchet on the bow and stern connections and was easy to adjust on a hot day. Raise or cool the kayak. I then bought the 834 version (upgraded 4 bolt floor clamp) which is identical in shape (stand itself, not floor clamp) and the mounting hole patterns are exactly what I was hoping for because I had the 4 adapters pre-made . Plates for both sides of my soldier, except the 834 didn't include a "ratchet pulley".

Pros
  • Thule buckle bumper protects kayak and vehicle from scratches
Cons
  • Slim
