We use these folding playpens with the cat rescue group I belong to. They are great for displaying animals at our outdoor events as the kittens hide behind the flash we hear and alert us when someone opens the playpen. It's harder for people to reach out and steal a kitten. The playpen can also be easily folded up for transport. In addition, the arena is great for keeping kittens in a foster family. They are impervious to germs on the floor and nylon is relatively easy to clean. The playpen is also great if you don't have a small spot to close the door - you won't lose the kittens and there's no risk of them getting into anything that could hurt them. All in all, this is a great place for small cats and dogs to temporarily live safely.
