Review on Hayabusa Ikusa Charged Gloves Black by Terry Wilson

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Velcro closures can be a bit annoying.

Shipping was fast and the package arrived earlier than expected. I have practiced western boxing and muay thai for many years. The gloves are quite hard upon arrival. I think after a few hard sessions they will be fine. I bought a 14 ounce glove. They fit a little but I have room for my toes. Velcro straps can be a bit confusing and adjustable. Double velcro provides additional support. I can definitely tell the difference when throwing power punches. My wrist feels more stable compared to other gloves. I've seen several other reviews of bracelets that can be put on and taken off. Yes, undressing can be painful even with a short break in the water. You definitely want to give yourself time to adjust when working with a partner. I'm sure I'll get used to the hand straps after a while. I have not used hand wraps with these gloves. As mentioned, they are tight and the wrist offers a lot of extra support. You have a lot of pillows in the glove. I use a heavy 70lb bag and have had no pain or bruising on my ankles. Hayabusa is by far the best brand and you get what you pay for. At least with MMA boxing equipment. I would recommend buying if you are a beginner or intermediate.
