Review on πŸ”₯ Fine-tuned Canfield 60/40 Solder: Perfect Fusion for Stained Glass Applications by Derrick Milkie

Revainrating 5 out of 5

The only solder I use after many other brands!

I have used many different solders on my stained glass over the years and I think Canfield 60/40 is the best. I don't buy any other brand at the moment. Other cheaper brands have really annoyed me because they melt unevenly, don't smooth out, have to use too much flux to get it flowing, etc. Canfield has always been good and I've never had to struggle to make it work. what should. It also works great on foil and works well on patina (shown in some of my crazy cutouts/pieces attached to the hole saw). I feel that while it's a bit expensive, it saves me time and the expense of additional chemicals or glass that I may have to use in conjunction with cheaper solder (I broke the glass trying to use the cheap solder to smooth!). Highly recommended for stained glass!
