Best glass solder

This is the best solder I have ever used! I'm an aspiring stained glass artist. I've tried Studio Pro, Artist Selection and others and it's superior to any other I've used. The extra $2 roll is incredibly worth the smooth enamel and lack of swearing required to keep the lines looking clean. I will definitely buy this again.

Pros
  • Pleasant
Cons
  • Poorly thought out

Very happy with this product and found it very economical. A+

Call me sentimental but I used this material for my first soldering project and found it to be a five star product. Soldering is very dirty! and it takes a lot of practice to get better at it, but this product made it very easy and inexpensive too. I'm so glad I started this. I'll let you know if I have more experience with this than the other product and I find something interesting to say. Very happy with it at the moment.

  • Free for educational purposes

Perfect for my stained glass windows!

I bought this for my stained glass project (I ran out of solder halfway through the project and the nearest stained glass shop is an hour away!) and was concerned at first about the quality (not sure what I would receive you from Revain versus professionals). But I am VERY HAPPY to report that not only is this a high quality solder, it is a brand that I have seen and used in pro shops before - at a fraction of the cost! I am very happy with my purchase and plan to purchase Lot through Revain in

Pros
  • Quality construction

The best tool for this job is quality solder

I have it. Who wants to spend money on better solder when there is cheaper solder? I say try other brands with this solder and see what you think. I did it and I believe in it. First, I believe that solder can only be as good as its flux. Don't skimp on the flux either. My rating is based on Rubyfluid Pink Flux. I also use Novacan with good results. Canfield Lot is a pleasure to work with. Since switching I have cleaner lines and fewer heat cracks. It polishes well and takes on a patina easily…

  • Price
Cons
  • Long delivery time

The only solder I use after many other brands!

I have used many different solders on my stained glass over the years and I think Canfield 60/40 is the best. I don't buy any other brand at the moment. Other cheaper brands have really annoyed me because they melt unevenly, don't smooth out, have to use too much flux to get it flowing, etc. Canfield has always been good and I've never had to struggle to make it work. what should. It also works great on foil and works well on patina (shown in some of my crazy cutouts/pieces attached to the hole

Pros
  • Sleek design
Cons
  • I am writing back

The best there is! Best for stained glass

There is no better solder than this! If you're just starting out with stained glass, buy it! Literally almost every artist I know uses it and swears by it! It's tricky as a new artist loses $25 for everything to be replaced a lot lol but I'm just over half roll and have done 3 large, 10 medium and a few small suncatchers so far! Again, I'm a beginner so I also spent quite a bit of time practicing by throwing, abusing, filling in the gaps, etc. If like me you're trying to save $$$$, you have…
