Review on πŸ”₯ Fine-tuned Canfield 60/40 Solder: Perfect Fusion for Stained Glass Applications by Allan Lambert

Revainrating 5 out of 5

The best tool for this job is Quality Solder

I understand. Who wants to spend money on better solder when there is cheaper solder? I say try other brands with this solder and see what you think. I did it and I believe in it. First, I believe that solder can only be as good as its flux. Don't skimp on the flux either. My rating is based on Rubyfluid Pink Flux. I also use Novacan with good results. Canfield Lot is a pleasure to work with. Since switching I have cleaner lines and fewer heat cracks. It polishes well and takes on a patina easily (just make sure you use a very fine steel wool to clean it before applying the patina). All in all, it's worth the extra money. I would recommend it.

Pros
  • Welding and Soldering
Cons
  • Expensive
