Buy this instead of a cheap caulking gun at a big store. This is a major upgrade. I used fire retardant sealant and with a cheap gun my hand cramped, I had to switch hands, use both hands and the roll I left looked like I just smeared it with my finger. I was never able to do more than one tube at a time and it took forever to get through the tube. It's very easy to get a smooth bead with this thing, even with hard caulk, and I did the job easily, going through tube by tube with no tension. This tool is worth it.
