Review on Nikon 70-200mm f/2.8G ED VR II AF-S Nikkor Zoom Lens - Optimized for Nikon Digital SLR Cameras (New, White Box) by Riko Long ᠌

Revainrating 5 out of 5

I really like the product, it fully meets my expectations.

I have been going to this lens for more than 7 years, constantly consoling myself that the photo is taken by the photographer, not the camera. But when it first came into my hands, I immediately realized how much I missed using cheap replacements. I used Tamrons 70-300, Nikon 70-300. What immediately catches the eye is the color rendering. Nothing compared to cheap replacements. Pure pleasant color, easily giving in to processing. A little later, I began to notice that the stabilizer is enough to shoot in any conditions, including nightclubs (with a flash, of course). When I got to the ski shooting, I realized how far behind I was. Previously, you had to focus on a specific point and catch the athlete at this point. Now I put group or automatic tracking focus all over the frame and with each trick I get a series of high-quality photos without a miss in focus. It's just fantastic... I use the D810 camera. On D3-4-5, most likely the result is even higher.

Pros
  • - Image quality and color reproduction - Very fast and tenacious autofocus - Aperture. Allows you to work in dark rooms without a flash - Perfectly working stabilizer - Closed design with fixed size when zooming
Cons
  • - Of course the price - Unusually heavy, but you get used to it

Even though it broke, this lens is best suited for many scenes.
