I bought this screen protector for three reasons.1. Protect your screen from accidental scratches. Check (time will tell) 2. Reduce glare on a massive 12 inch screen. Check3. Reduce fingerprints on the touch screen. Glare has been significantly reduced without the ghosting that I've seen with other screen protectors that I've noticed in similar screen protector reviews. Pull off the tread. As far as reducing scratches, only time will tell. I hope to keep the Ram 1500 that had the screen protector on for a long time. The screen protector was very easy to install with the included instructions, although there were few. The matte screen protector does not diminish the clarity or beauty of the screen, but it does minimize glare from other light sources that may fall. The matte screen protector makes it easier to view the screen without annoying glare.
