A fun book that keeps what its cover promises, but can also be used by absolute beginners. The designs follow a few simple ideas. What makes this out of the ordinary is the inspirational advice/instruction to make some extra blocks and use a designer wall to select and position them for maximum impact. Each of the completed projects contains fresh and attractive proposals for color harmony. There is also a gallery of quilts made by students using the patterns in this book. What fabulous ideas! Each is shown as a whole and with enlarged details. I think it's a great way to visualize what you could accomplish with one (or more) of the templates in the book.
