Review on Genwiss Dive Light - Underwater Flashlight for Scuba Diving Activities | 1000 Lumens, 80M Depth | Rechargeable Battery & USB Charging by Iration Ahim

Amazing little light!

I used these (I bought 2) for some of my training dives (for my DM certification) at our quarry/lake last weekend. The lake here (at Windy Point) is known for having 2 to 4 foot visibility over 65 feet. The silt is so heavy that a white scenario is almost guaranteed. and dark, like SUPER dark (at 30 feet, ie goes to 0 with no light). With that in mind, I wanted the spot beam to run for at least 1.5 hours. a flood beam would just bounce off any sediment in the water and blind me. They come with a battery, a charger (USB connection only) and a strap. The lanyard hole is SUPER small so it can fit with a tiny clip. While it worked over the weekend, I was able to break it off fairly easily. I was able to thread a small key ring through it which should be stronger. As for the light itself, I was SUPER impressed. While I don't know if it's really 3K lumens, it was insanely bright underwater. We had a white color state and it could still be visible through the sediment. We gained 85 feet, it was cold and no problem. I got rid of a USB-only charging point (no outlet) and a cheap clip to attach the strap to the light. Another thing I didn't really like was the rotating bezel to turn on the light and change its intensity. it was fairly easy to twist and really turned on when I tucked it into the waist belt. it should either be a bit stiffer or have some sort of derailleur locking mechanism. Overall VERY happy with the light and the price is out of sight! I would recommend it to anyone diving, even in the crystal clear caribbean water you can still see the nooks and crannies!
