I brew kombucha in 3 gallon jars on my kitchen counter. It's cold in my house so I keep a heating pad behind the glasses and a towel around the glasses to keep it warm. All jars work at different temperatures, so I change their order every few days. The thermal strip has a backing that can be peeled off and stuck to the jars, but I put the jars in the dishwasher to avoid damaging the strips, so I just use my fingers instead of sticking them to the jars. Apply the stripes to the glasses as I unfold the towel. It takes about 10 seconds to register the stripes. I find her wonderful.
