I bought this after much research. It arrived and was working great until 13 months later. Even with regular filter changes, it began to freeze. I've contacted support and I have 2 weeks before the warranty expires - they include shipping for a year and then the buyer pays shipping for all warranty work. Shipping back to California costs about $350. I could have fixed it locally and the company would have reimbursed me, but I couldn't find anyone who could fix it locally. Tech support told me this is a very common problem with this dehumidifier, although the literature says they use a rare earth material to prevent it. Although it was nice that they found a solution even though I had no guarantee, they really need to fix the problem that is causing the freezing. I restarted my $150 dehumidifier that I used before and my basement dried up. I have a $1000 rock that will probably end up in the landfill if I can't find someone around here to fix it.
