I preferred Culligan CuZn, Hydroviv or Waterdrop because it is a well respected brand in water filtration that has been around for many years. The filter was extremely easy to install in my 30 inch wide kitchen sink cabinet and took maybe 20 minutes to complete. Luckily no leaks and I had cold water running as instructed within 10 minutes of installation. Only reason for 4 instead of 5 stars is the pressure difference after installation To before and after: - Taste and smell: significantly different; In northern New Jersey we have very good tasting tap water, although at times it smells/tastes faintly of chlorine. The smell is gone and the taste of the water is even better than before - Clarity: there is less of it; there wasn't a big difference here, but if you look closely, there were fewer floating particles in the filtered water. - Water pressure: Noticeable drop in water pressure, watch the video to learn more about hot and cold. Before installation, hot has the same pressure as cold. We have a lot of water pressure here so the pressure drop is manageable but that is the reason for my 4 star rating. All in all it's a great filter for the price and we'll see how it performs over the next 6 months. On the plus side, at least I haven't had to refill my large Brita jug just yet.
