Bought for $22. The part recommended to me by people who know cars very well was well over $100. Turns out the problem wasn't what I thought and was told, but I could fix it myself for less than $15. As I already wrote, the code reader immediately paid for itself. I have a good general understanding of car and truck engines for those who have not trained or worked in the field, but I am definitely not a mechanic and cannot diagnose these things myself. To me it just makes sense to have a code reader like this so that 1) I won't be bothered by mechanics and 2) I can look up codes online, see what's wrong, and find videos or how-to's on how to fix problems. I know no one can fix engine problems alone, but having that knowledge when you need to take your car in for repairs is worth $22, right?
