Review on Vornado Evaporative Humidifier SimpleTank Capacity by Robin Brinks

This is the best humidifier I've ever owned (and I've had several). First, it is an evaporation method that is much better than ultrasonic. Because it's not ultrasonic, there's no risk of inhaling airborne minerals, and no white dust builds up on all your stuff. The ultrasonic doesn't come with a fan either, which increases the humidity, so I noticed with a hygrometer that while the ultrasonic might turn it off when the humidity is set, if I measured the humidity at the opposite end of the room. 'will still be low. Vornado also comes with an antimicrobial pre-treated wick to prevent bacteria or mold from building up in your device. Its hygrometer, which turns it off automatically, is extremely accurate in my tests and keeps the air throughout the room at exactly the desired humidity level. The fan is also powerful (like all Vornado fans) but not very loud. It's also fast hydrating, bringing my bedroom to my desired humidity level in under an hour. Finally, the water canister removal and refill design is the best I've seen. It's just a huge tube with a huge opening that can be removed from the base and replaced with ease and no leaks. Because the base and tube are so accessible, they are easy to clean. Vornado makes great products and this is no exception. Do yourself a favor and spend the extra cash on this top-of-the-line machine. While an antimicrobial wick is probably all you need for protection, do yourself a favor and purchase some Kaz PC-1 Protec® cleaning cartridges to ensure you never re-emit mold or bacteria into the air.
