I was a bit skeptical about this little item, but I didn't want to be constantly searching for algae cleaner in the tank and needed one small enough to hide on the back Tank. It helps. Not only does it work well with algae, but it rolls itself around corners without falling apart, so you don't have to (pun intended) fish the tank for the inside. Now I don't move it around corners very quickly and I'm sure you could break it if you try hard enough, but in normal use it behaves well.
