Bought two sets of 2 for the base of our Christmas tree to scare away the little ones. Although we have a small 6ft/7ft tree, the four panels weren't wide enough to wrap it around without having to bend the branches. To successfully enclose the tree on all sides we would need a total of 5 or 6 panels (3 packs of two panels) which would be beyond the value of this temporary solution for us. The quality of the gate itself is quite decent and easy to use. It's definitely big enough to keep kids and pets away, and helps quell the temptation to open gifts prematurely! While this is very effective in protecting the tree and children, the downside is that it blocks half the tree and can cause eye pain. For the price it was the best for us.
