I liked the idea of using matching door hardware. The threshold seems solid. I put urethane on the wooden strip right away since it's real wood, otherwise it looks dirty. I didn't think that something meant for walking could be scratched by the slightest bit of sand. The finish blistered on one side almost immediately and the coating peeled off. It's not even a month old and I had to pay someone to install it. I have to pay someone to take them off and put a new one on. I want to return it! It looks awful as there is what looks like aluminum underneath the surface so it's really obvious and I have no doubt it will continue to chip. Insane
