Really cheap wood, swells and rots quickly.

Not worth the money. Cheap wood, no screws, no instructions as advertised. Very disappointed. I would estimate about $4 worth of material to do this.

Pros
  • Very good value for money
Cons
  • Big and chunky

High-quality look of door fittings and locks

I looked for this product elsewhere and did not find it. We were glad Revain had it, it was well made, looks great and would have been easy to install but due to the way our door frame was made my husband had to do some carpentry work. We are happy with the results!

Pros
  • Absolute legend
Cons
  • Almost everything in order

Installed this with a new door and it looked great until the trim peeled off

Really good for a couple of months and then the trim started to peel off. It was installed with a new door a few years ago and I'm glad Revain keeps a record of purchases as we've forgotten who we bought it from and who made it. Too bad they are selling them as there isn't much you can do after installing a new door. Made from aluminum. just like we replaced. Garbage.

Pros
  • Was fun
Cons
  • Was damaged

Available from Revain, not Depot or Lowes.

Sill kit for 36" doors. I give 5 stars for Revain's availability and reliability. The kit was missing a major set screw, but it made up for it. It would be nice to have a concrete anchor option for installing garage doors. However, the kit is well stocked with some cheap braces. Makes a beautiful installation without the need to cut and drill component materials. This is a good set for someone like me with multiple tools and tutorials on You Tube. It's smooth and dense, and that's the main…

Pros
  • Great price
Cons
  • Not bad

I liked the idea of using matching door hardware. The threshold seems solid. I put urethane on the wooden strip right away since it's real wood, otherwise it looks dirty. I didn't think that something meant for walking could be scratched by the slightest bit of sand. The finish blistered on one side almost immediately and the coating peeled off. It's not even a month old and I had to pay someone to install it. I have to pay someone to take them off and put a new one on. I want to return it! It…

Pros
  • Durable workmanship
Cons
  • Questionable purchase for the elderly

Complicated assembly. Moderate quality issues.

I bought three of these sills to replace the factory sills on some Jeld-Wen doors that needed to be reinstalled (removing the doors damaged the originals). I found the following: Pros: ++ I got them working. + My carbide tipped miter saw easily cut them to the desired 36 inch size. Out of the box they were 1/8 inch larger than this one. + The aluminum components felt solid and were well bonded to the wooden base. Cons: --- [THIS IS PART OF TLDR!] The "washers" used to hold the adjustable sill…

Pros
  • Great for a small house
Cons
  • Poorly thought out
