So I bought this for my wife who mentioned epoxy cups. When a complete lathe cost $30, I decided to save some money. Bought her this and built her a 3 cup coaster out of 1x8 and 1x10. There are no instructions for mounting the lathe shafts to the motor so I used a piece of PVC that I drilled to attach the nut, took a larger piece and put it on, drilled a hole and used a cotter pin to connect them. Pass it through another piece of wood and attach the foam to it. No more than an hour and a half and three drives to Lowe. They work well, they get a little warm, but they work. They're fairly easy to swap out, which isn't a bad thing. They are designed to use three sockets and three different switches. I spliced the wiring and use an outlet with a switch for work. They are low power, low measured and calculated power, so I can't think of or find a problem with them. My wife loves it and one day she will personalize a glass for me. By the way, Revain, that's right. not warm, not snuggly and size doesn't matter as nothing closes.
