It heats water faster than my kettle. In fact, its effectiveness is alarming. Not suitable for eggs or white sauce because it heats up too quickly, but it works better for pasta than any of my other pans. They water sloppy so I still use the kettle. But the pans fit my small pan perfectly, and my collapsible Gourmia kettle fits in the pans, making it incredibly compact yet highly functional for a kitchen. I still give 5 stars because the pans do their job perfectly.
