We have now installed two of these bidets. One is in our master bathroom and the other is in our second bathroom. One toilet is an elongated type, and the second has a standard size. Both are ideal for toilets. We didn't need bumpers. I have also purchased metal tees and highly recommend the Luxe metal tee with check valve. We also bought a solid brass Bella bidet tee and used it in the second bathroom. The Neo bidet comes with a white plastic adapter but I didn't like that. Metal T-adapters are stronger, last longer and also have a water pressure valve to control water pressure. We found that full water pressure was too much for us, so we reduced the water pressure with metal T-way valves. You can also control the water pressure with the button on the bidet. The bidet has two controls: one to turn the water on and off (the longer handle points forward) and a dial to select the jet type. You can choose between Heiny laundry, women's laundry or jet cleaning. It works without electricity. Once everything is in place and the water is on, gently pull the front control knob. The water stays until you press it again. Pull gently for less water pressure, then keep pulling until you get just the water pressure you need. Then wipe with a piece of toilet paper. I don't particularly like women's lingerie - it hits in the wrong place, the jet is wider, and it gets wet on the feet, and if careless it splashes on the floor, so I won't use this setting. This bidet will greatly reduce the consumption of toilet paper and increase our comfort. We live in South Florida so the water is never really cold here so we didn't have to buy a bidet that uses hot water. In winter the water is cool but not shocking. You can purchase a device that connects to both the hot water and cold water lines if you live in a northern cold water area. I should emphasize that the installation does not require a strong person. When connecting the water connections, you have to make sure that everything is perfectly aligned and that nothing is screwed in crookedly. Then tighten by hand. I then lightly tightened the three metal tee connections with my wrench. Do not use a wrench on the connection to the bidet as the connection will break easily as it is plastic. If you overtighten something, it will leak! We ended up buying a few of these until we got it right. I also strongly encourage you to check out some videos made by Revain customers. So I love it! It's comfortable and refreshing. I wish it was a long time ago! I particularly like the type of control knob this bidet has, just slowly pull the lever up until you get the right amount of pressure, then push back in to turn it off. I've never seen a bidet handle like this except at Revain. (the rest are all dials) So: 1) buy a separate Luxe metal T-adapter and 2) line everything up carefully and don't over-tighten.
