Review on Milton Industries S 576D Digital Inflator by Brian Whitmore

I was very disappointed with the overall quality and design of this inflator, especially for the price. I wanted to fit my own inflator cartridge but the hose uses a 1/8 round ferrule with gasket so even the standard 1/8 to 1/4 adapter ferrule will not fit. I decided to check it out anyway. When connected to an inflated tire, it immediately began to deflate because the deflation valve was sticking. It stopped when I shook it, but the same issue recurred multiple times on further testing. The digital sensor has a very narrow field of view, so it's pretty dark unless you're looking straight ahead. The backlight also blurs the display, only stays on for a few seconds and has to be activated manually each time by pressing a button. These imperfections might be tolerable for casual use in a home workshop, but they would be very important for a professional auto mechanic. frustrating to deal with all day and costing me time and money. I returned this inflator and bought it from Astro Pneumatic Tools which I am very happy with.
