I had a Linksys SRX but needed a second AP for full home coverage. The Linksys was an older model and one complaint was that it would turn off randomly, I think mostly after power outages. I have placed this Netgear product in the same location and have received half the bars on each of the multiple laptops I use in the same location where I have used Linksys. I changed the position of the access point in all possible ways. Linkys has a much better range. Also, the installation requires you to plug it into your computer and change the IP settings and once set up you will have to remove it from the router for any setting changes, change the IP settings etc etc. Not impossible but a lot less easy than setting up Linksys and much more tedious to manage it after installation.
