As a standard USB 2.0 flash disk, I highly recommend this product. Which, alas, doesn't even match up to FAT32's maximum 2.0. USB 2.0: With a Read Speed of 33.3MB/s and a Write Speed of 7.4MB/s In USB 3.0: scores 121 on the reading and writing portions; scores 9.9-10.8 The flash drive's 2.0 mode does not permit reading or writing at the expected speed of 480Mb/s (or 60Mb/s in human language). Just for kicks, you can see that the speed is class 8, despite the fact that this is not a micro SD. USB 3.0 mode offers somewhat better reading speeds than USB 2.0, but slower writing speeds than even USB 2.0. That 3.0 odor is nowhere to be found. It's ironic that 3.0 should correspond to 5Gbps or 625MB/s when applied to a human. USB 3.0-33.3/22 is substantially more stable and secure when using NTFS. But in USB 3.0, it's all a lot more exciting: With a reading of 121 and a writing score of -38, it is obvious that the maximum of 60 in 2.0 mode is unreachable. Also, we are not talking about version 3.0. It's a yearly ritual at this point: USB specifications are released, then flash drives appear, years pass, and yet the drives' speeds haven't caught up with the specifications. Everything happens again when USB 3.0 is released. You can count this flash drive as a plus because other companies are far worse, but the speed is boring. I recommend this flash drive, but for optimal enjoyment, you should use it in 3.0 mode and with the NTFS file system exclusively. No device supports NTFS out of the box; even Android requires a prog-converter, connection, or root-level adapter. For moving data from the visible to Windows, though, it should work fine.
