Don't waste your time on this. It's not an easy task, so buy OEM, don't fret. The connectors on these hoses and tubes are not of very good quality. They're cheap, break easily and two of them wouldn't even snap into place so they don't stay connected. The long hose connecting the valve cover to the oil separator would not snap into place. I figured it was just because I hadn't pushed it all the way down, so I removed the oil separator and tube entirely, and in fact it didn't break when I pushed it. It could be removed without depressing the latches. The next problem was the oil return hose that runs from the bottom of the separator to the crankcase. It just didn't click. After numerous tries, I looked at the end of the hose connector and found that the o-ring was too big! / When I pressed it, all that happened was that the o-ring was pushed out of the groove and prevented the plug from turning on. Replaced the O-ring with the old one and all went well. The last issue I encountered was the length of the oil return hose. This may not be for everyone, but it is for my 2004 BMW X5 3.0i. My return line goes to the bottom of the dipstick and this hose doesn't reach.
