This really sucks. The hoses are not connected - they have to be clamped

This really sucks. The hoses do not fit, you have to use force. Tried WD-40. I still can't connect them. The hose to the dipstick is also too short. I retired and couldn't afford a BMW OEM. I understand they don't last long either. Too much work to change those hoses more than once. Do yourself a favor and find the best brand

  • Great design

Non-original spare parts in filter

I bought a kit to save on repairs. All Ignition Coils, OEM, Spark Plugs, OEM. Non-original valve cover. Intake gaskets and aftermarket PCV kit here on ebay. The engine code lit up again due to a vacuum leak. Bought a smoke machine from Matco Tools and saw the PCV kit was leaking from the fittings to the intake. Buying a new OEM replacement from BMW. The replacement after-sales service is of poor quality. Hogan Automotive

Will not fit X5 and will not match quality

This kit will NOT fit X5 3.0 as stated under parts compatibility. The oil drain pipe from the oil separator to the oil dipstick is too short and not designed for this vehicle. Unfortunately, I didn't realize this until I took everything apart and was ready to install it. I had to buy parts from a BMW dealer. Another problem is that the swivel hose is too narrow and cannot be installed in the limited space for this X5 engine. I had to spend time grinding the joint and then oiling it so it could…

Pros
  • Industry leading
Cons
  • Almost never

Don't waste your time on this. It's not an easy task, so buy OEM, don't fret. The connectors on these hoses and tubes are not of very good quality. They're cheap, break easily and two of them wouldn't even snap into place so they don't stay connected. The long hose connecting the valve cover to the oil separator would not snap into place. I figured it was just because I hadn't pushed it all the way down, so I removed the oil separator and tube entirely, and in fact it didn't break when I pushed

Fakes in white box

Well I expected better quality. Cheap, poor quality fakes that needed modification to work without problems in the future. For example, the o-rings on the ends of each quick connector were not the right size, they were too large in diameter and too thin in diameter. Luckily I had the right size lying around in my tool box. Even after plugging it in, I wasn't sure I had a good print. "They usually click together and make a nice clicking sound. Well, there's no sound or clicking sensation." But…
