I bought this product to work with a kiosk. I didn't do much research because the maker of the kiosk software instructed me to buy it. I thought that said a lot about the product and I didn't seem to have a choice. So far this has worked well. I like the ability to scan double-sided. It seems to have many settings. When I first plugged it into our reception it kept throwing the card backwards and behind the counter. This problem can easily be solved by changing the setting to slide the card forward. The scanner also gives you the option to start scanning when you insert a card or when prompted at a kiosk. We had an issue with customers inserting the card at a 90 degree angle. This is a very brief description of how to correctly orient the card in the scanner. It's easy to miss. We made a much larger sign and the problem persists. People will do what they want!
