Decent output for a fixed 200W solar panel

Comparing this fixed solar panel to their portable version solar panel, their quality overall is quite impressive, especially on the power output even in low light condition.I like the "9BB" feature, where in case a cell or fraction of a cell is malfunction or broken, the overall output won't be affected that much. This solar panel has a listed 23.4V Open Circuit Voltage and I got a 23.2V where you see how close the numbers are. The short circuit current I got is 9.65A, with the factor of using a clamp multi-meter and the time of measuring isn't the full sun or at the best angle, so I consider this panel delivers what it promises and claims. The cable attached to the back of the panel is with MC4 connector in the size of 4mm^2 imprinted, which is equivalent to about AWG 1012, sufficient to handle its maximum current output (<12A).Also on the back of the panel, there are total of 8 mounting holes, 4 on one edge and 4 on the other. It only comes with the panel, no other accessories, no screws, bracket, other cables, adapter or whatsoever, MC4 connector cable is all you got.The aluminum frame is slightly thin, and the seam appears isn't welded perfectly, but overall it's in acceptable and mountable condition.Cost is average ($270 as of writing, about $1.35/watt, slightly less expensive than an equivalent wattage of a portable one).I would recommend this product, overall it is working great, still got some output even without direct sunlight, when there is sunlight, it easily gets over 100W range output.

Pros
  • High-level 9BB Cell Design has a 21.9% Highest Conversion Rate. Makes the solar panel have a longer service life. Increase the cell receiving surface, thinner ribbon reduces the covered area by 22%.can charge 12V battery or charge 24/48V battery by wiring several solar panels in series.
Cons
  • Not ideal for use during prolonged periods of inadequate sunlight
