Plug 'n Play - for 2015-16 F150 Pull the plastic panel under the steering wheel towards you from above - it snaps in at the top, hinges at the bottom. This will expose the metal bracket - remove 4-8mm screws (head/base size). You then have plenty of handroom to reach the Ford connector (tucked into the back of the dash bag for spares) and buckle into the Curt harness - bring the dash back, mount the brake controls just above the throttle (where you can easily see and reach) and that's it - everything works together, including trailer brakes and trailer backup lights.
