It's time for new phones when I had hearing problems with the old ones. I thought it was the line itself but turns out pld phones just stopped kicking. I LOVE THIS PRODUCT. Cordless phones are quick to set up and charge (overnight recommended) and offer many features. The wired base is perfect for when the power goes out (common in my area) and it has a backup battery to boot! The call blocking feature is my absolute favorite thing about these phones! I once made the mistake of taking a "sales call" and donating to a charity, which in turn sold my number to all the advertising groups. My phone rang non-stop, and even after my number was removed from half a dozen call logs, I found the same groups were using a different number. But unfortunately! The call blocking definitely works. Just press the call barring button on either the base or any handset, confirm "Yes", you want to block this number and you're done! For the first week, the calls practically stopped. YUP! Call quality is great, there's plenty of speed dial capacity, and many, many other great features. I would highly recommend and would buy again. For reference, this was a direct purchase - no sale items, no free items, just spent my money and got a great product in return. Can't beat it!
